City drinks,
alfresco dining
bespoke events & bottomless brunch

Nestled in the South West quarter of the Square Mile between Blackfriars and St Paul’s, The Wardrobe Bar & Kitchen is built on the site of the King’s Wardrobe that burned down in the great fire of 1666.

The Wardrobe is now the jewel of the popular Carter Lane bar & restaurant district, purveying classic British comfort food alongside beer, wine & cocktails in a truly unique aesthetic - including private rear courtyard.

Perfect for corporate events, special occasions, working lunches, or just an after work pint.

Bottomless Brunch by advance booking only.

The Wardrobe was essentially born out of a Covid pivot that out-shone its originator.  Dan & his mum Roshnara launched EPIC PIES in Nov 2019 following widespread success in the streetfood sector, only to be shuttered 4 months later for the pandemic.

They used the opportunity to convert the stunning Georgian courtyard adjoining the restaurant into the most sought-after beer garden in the square mile.  This reverse-engineered the venue into the broader concept you see before you today, which they formally rebranded in Mar 2022.

Now the go-to event space in their patch of the City, they maintain their passion for hearty British comfort food classics done properly.  You’ll still find a pie or two on the menu, including their world-famous Full English Tart!
